Dragon Turtle in Glass

  

This legendary symbol combines the amazing powers and attributes of the dragon and the turtle. These are two of the four spiritually gifted creatures in Chinese symbolism.

The image is of a creature with the body of a turtle and the head of a dragon sitting on a bed of coins and gold ingots. In its mouth is the symbolic coin of prosperity. Like the chi lin, this is a creature of imagination and demonstrates how the Chinese use symbolism to enhance the physical space of their living environment.

 

THE DRAGON TURTLE HAS MULTIPLE MEANINGS

1. The turtle symbolizes longevity. Here is a creature reputed to be able to live up to 3000 years without food or air.
2. The dragon symbolizes success, courage, and determination. The fact that the turtle has transformed into a dragon indicates imminent good fortune in career and business.
3. The base of gold ingots on which the creature sits signifies enormous wealth and prosperity.
4. The baby turtle on its back symbolizes wonderful descendant luck, which usually means many children.

 

WHERE TO PLACE THE DRAGON TURTLE

You can use this symbol as a paperweight. Place it on your desk, either in the north or east sector, but not if it's directly in front of you. Try to have it by your side.

You can also place this symbol behind where you sit to signify that you have the support of both the dragon and the turtle. Do not place this symbol directly in front of you as if you are confronting it. In Feng Shui, when you confront a powerful symbol, you are asking for trouble.
